Fox-body Mustangs of late ’80’s – early ’90’s vintage have really been coming into their own over the last 6-8 months, with some recent sales of super-clean, low mileage examples at auction reaching into 93′ SVT Cobra territory.
Thing is, suddenly everyone that wasn’t paying attention is realizing there aren’t many low mileage, unmolested, OEM-stock original Fox bodies left.
Here’s one that won’t disappoint. It’s a super-clean, three-owner ’88 LX with just 53k miles on the clock. It wears all of its original body panels proudly, which were refresh-repainted two years ago in the car’s original 7N Dark Shadow Blue color.
As a true upstate NY car, the original owner ordered it without AC; he also chose manual-crank windows over the power option. No frills 5.0, 5-spd fun. Car still rolls on it’s original 10-hole wheels and retains all of it’s original manuals and paperwork.
All-in-all, a true survivor and a rare example of a late ’80’s speed density 5.0, as Ford originally intended.
