If you were around in the early 1990’s, then you know that these limited-production trucks (including the even rarer pickup version, the Syclone) were some of the fastest things on the street from 1991-1993 (in one famous Car and Driver test from that time, a Syclone easily shamed a Ferrari 348s). The “SyTy” Syclones and Typhoons pack the venerable 4.3-liter Vortec V6, paired with a Mitsubishi turbocharger and Garrett intercooler. Output was an impressive 280 HP and 369 LB FT of torque, enough to shred all four tires through the Borg Warner 35/65 torque-split all-wheel drive system.
